Performing is an extension of the heart, mind and soul. Ask any performer, more than likely they’ll tell you that performing is like breathing. If you're an artist, you will clearly have an understanding of what I'm referring too. I'd like to speak a bit about my personal passion; in my case its drumming and performance. Drumming has been a part of my life as far as I can recall.

BIO
Robbie Rodriguez’s early lessons date back to1986, sitting with his
instructor Bobby Sanabria in a small drum studio at Palomba Music
in the North Bronx. Just a teenager, and not sure what to expect, it
was clear early instruction was needed to learn how to read and
interpret musical notation. A drummer was born.
After coming off tour with ill Nino and Terror Universal as the Drum
Tech for Dave Chavarri's, Robbie has been an independent drummer
playing for local solo artists such as, Enya Agerholm. Robbie recently
supported Latin rock band Saint Diablo for the final leg of their 2022
tour on Percussions and recently.

Influences
Robbie had many musical influences throughout his early years. His father
was a major influence. His father played trumpet professionally in numerous
Latin bands in Puerto Rico. It wasn't a coincidence his influence was passed on. Robbie took an early interest in percussion. He took drum lessons from Grammy Nominated Latin Percussionist Bobby Sanabria at the age of 16. Early influences include Drummer Bobby Sanabria, Drummer Neil Pert, Drummer Dennis Chambers, Drummer Omar Hakim, Drummer Dave Weckl, Drummer Phil Collins, Drummer Alan White. He's been influenced by multiple Progressive Rock and Nu Metal artists like: Yes, Fates Warning, Dream Theater, Rush, Tesseract, Porcupine Trees, ERRA, Born of Osiris, Animals As Leaders, Architects, ill Nino, Soul Fly, Korn, Alter Bridge, God Forbid, Sevendust and many more.

Career
Robbie’s journey started in two bands in NYC: Over Drive & Criminal (Both Rock Bands). Also, playing in a band called KODA in Virginia (Progressive Rock). Several years later Robbie founded Carnival of Noise which was a Progressive Rock band in the Washington, D.C Metro Area.
He has supported other bands and solo artists including: The Plan 9 (80's Cover Band), Ignite Violet (Goth, Rock, Alt Rock Band), Kloud9 ( R&B, Jazz, Rock, Country), Rebel Drive (Metal), Tyler James Band (Country), Digital Collapse (Rock Band).

Robbie has supported and played drums for Eva Jade Landon (Pop / Dance Music) at the Ottobar in Maryland for 98 Rocks Noise in the Basement. Also, supported her line up at Ocean 98.1 live on the air with DJ BK with Live Lixx at Sixx. He played with Ignite Violet at The Circuit in Maryland in 2013.

Drummer Style
Rodriguez’s drumming style has changed throughout his career. His drumming has evolved and is more groove driven, and Intune with the band members while providing solid emotional patterns. During the late 80’s he was known for his fast, aggressive thrash beats. He does from time to time like to drop in quick patterns. He often utilized Latin patterns and techniques, which enhance some of the of the arrangements.

Current Project: Path of the Fallen
From the mind of Drummer & Bassist Robbie Rodriguez comes RUAA. The concept for this project has been brewing for several years now. The timing is right to finally introduce RUAA upon those who enjoy, and love groove, reactive drumming, emotional imaginary and Djent driven arrangements. RUAA means Dream or Visions in Arabic...RUAA seeks to paint pictures and images with our arrangements. We're looking to teleport you to another realm in mind, body and spirit. You’ll enjoy instrumentals and vocal compositions.
